Hello, everyone! We have had an eventful summer:
We spent July 4th weekend at Starvy Creek Blue Grass Festival Maggie and Jiggs. This was our first outing with the Motor Home. As usual we had a great time. We took the dogs, as fire works are not allowed, and they start the first of July or earlier in our neighborhood. vexing all the puppies.
In August we went to St George Utah, for my nieces wedding. It was a true family reunion to have my brother and his family, DD1's family and DD2. We had a grand time. It rained all morning but the sun came out in the afternoon. and all was beautiful and fairly cool.
She had cupcakes instead of regular wedding cake, which Caшa, and Лука, enjoyed! She did have an unusual smaller cake that the bride and groom cut. It was decorate with blackboard and chalk frosting something she always said she wanted!
The reception was fun with lots of dancing and a photobooth Лука, who has been dancing since he could walk, danced all night along with his mother, or his brother or by himself. Caшa was possessed by the photobooth. He photobombed a number of guests and learned how to take the picture. Every time we lost track of him he was sneaking into the photobooth.
The next event is our trip to Europe at the end of the month. I have had the London segment pretty well planned for a month, We are going 2 days earlier than the tour for some extra time. I splurged on a 3 day London Pass for the extra days and I hope it will be a worth while expense. One good thing about the pass was last week they sent me an email about some tickets for Buckingham Palace being available, I went right to the website and scored 2 tickets for one of our non tour days. It was really something I wanted to do that was not included with GoAhead Tours.
What's your favorite kind of cheese? I love Monterey Jack, I usually use it instead of Mozzerella.
Have you ever been in a log cabin? I have never stayed long, but I have been in a log cabin from a tourist standpoint, and also a sod house in OK that a cousin use to be a docent. 'Here in the Heartland' there are several original cabin around.

What is your favorite kind of salad dressing? I currently have a crush on all things Balsamic vinegar, like salad dressing. Trader Joes has a terrific Basalmic glaze, that I cook with. I bought 4 bottles of it last time I was in Kansas City.
When was the last time you saw someone from your high school days? At our 30th reunion. They are mostly in CA. I have a dear friend who I keep up with on Facebook.
Tell me what the perfect dinner party would look like for you. Outside under an arbor of some kind, with soft candlelight, at a long table with lots of friends and seafood.
1. What do you think you would have liked most from my menu? The mango chicken salad and I love roasted sweet potatoes. The whole menu sounded delightful. 2. Have you ever had an interesting experience with serving dinner guests? One time I put my dessert on top of the fridge ( I had no other space). When I opened the fridge it fell off and all over me and the floor. 3. What's your favorite beverage, this summer? International Delight Lite Caramel Machiatto Ice Coffee...I have a glass every morning instead of hot coffee. 4. Do you ever have bouquets of fresh flowers in your home? No, not at present. I do get them during holidays. 5. Tell me something interesting. Please. We will be going to a Bluegrass Festival for 4th of July week. We are going Tuesday to get a good spot for the RV, with our best friends Maggie and Jiggs. It is our first outing this season.
1. How well do you handle change? Better than some at my age and circumstance (old and retired). I like a little change it makes life interesting. I am not always crabbing about how it use to be better, even though some times 'it did use to be better.' I can adapt eventually to most change. I initially had a hard time adjusting to retirement, I kept feeling at the end of the day, that there was something I didn't get done.
What's the one thing you feel is the biggest waste of your time during an average week?Playing games on the computer.Last night, I was playing Spider Solitaire and decided I would go to bed when I won a game. Half an hour later I finally went to bed.... a loser.
I talked about how I was feeling about this challenge here. If I do this again, I believe I will have a theme and I have another year to think about it. I appreciate my new followers. I have 70 now, Woo Hoo! I have also found some new blogs to add to my reading list and now that I am back I am catching up and commenting. It is not as daunting a task to read and comment because not all of my new reads are posting every day. Life is getting back to normal.
My post for today is about the website ZOOBORN. I love this site, every day there is a post about baby animals just born to an accredited zoo somewhere in the world. What better way to end the 2013 April A to Z than with baby animals?
We went camping this past weekend and went to a Bluegrass Festival in Clinton, Mo with our good friends Maggie and Jigs. It was so cold but a lot of fun. We took out our RV for the first time in at least a year and it held up well. We camped for 3 days. So cold, but the camper was warm.
I really enjoyed the music, it was playing non stop from noon to 10pm and we heard a lot of groups. I am crushing on the young mandolin player from a group called the Bluegrass Brothers from Virginia. He played with such passion and had a great voice as well. It doesn't hurt that he is cute too.
