Still not sure why it is called the Boat Questions.

1. YOU HAVE 10 BUCKS AND NEED TO BUY SNACKS AT A GAS STATION. WHAT DO YOU GET? I would be on a road trip so I would get a couple of bottles of water, coffee, and nuts, popcorn or candy if I am driving next, a 5 hour energy.

2. IF YOU WERE REINCARNATED AS SOME SORT OF SEA DWELLING CREATURE, WHAT WOULD YOU BE? A manta ray, they are slow and beautiful swimmers and can be playful.

3. WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE REDHEAD? Julianne Moore and Prince Harry.

4. WHAT DO YOU ORDER WHEN YOU'RE AT A DINER? Usually breakfast as that is the time we would probably stop at a diner.

5. LAST BOOK YOU READ? I just finished the Harry Potter series.

6. DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE PAIR OF UNDERWEAR? Cotton and roomy.

7. DESCRIBE THE LAST TIME YOU WERE INJURED. I sprained my wrist, wrestling my brother in law's very large dog into my yard .  I fell on it, and went to the doctor.

8. ROCK CONCERT OR SYMPHONY? I love most music. LAST SEEN? Willy Nelson, last year.

9. IF SOMEONE WERE TO BUY YOU A GIFT, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE IT TO BE?
I would like it to be plane tickets to California to see the grandsons,any time I wanted.
 
10. WHAT TYPE OF SHIRT DO YOU (look) BEST IN? Well I wear T-shirts mostly.  I probably look best in a long sleeved knit shirt.

11. IF YOU COULD USE ONLY ONE FORM OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE? A chauffeured limo.

12. WHAT IS YOUR DEADLY SIN? Sweets!
 

13. MOST RECENT MOVIE YOU'VE WATCHED IN A THEATER? RATE IT. Les Miserables, not as good as the stage play, but enjoyable.  We don't go out to the movies...mostly stream them on TV.  Last night we saw Joy, with Jennifer Lawrence and I really liked it. Very uplifting.
 
14. IF YOU COULD INVENT ONE THING, WHAT WOULD IT BE? A transporter like in Star Trek. It would be excellent for travel.

15. NAME AN ACTOR/ACTRESS YOU'VE HAD THE HOTS FOR? Sean Connery, I have told you that before. 
 
16. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CITY? LAST TIME THERE? London, I was there, a year ago.  I love England and would like to see more than London.
 

17. WHAT'S THE FIRST WORD THAT COMES TO MIND RIGHT NOW? Vampire, we are watching a travel show about belief in vampires in Romania, on the travel channel. Mr BC left it on that channel when he took his accidental nap.  He has the remote.
 
18. WHAT TYPE OF PET DO YOU HAVE? We have 2 funny dogs.
 

19. WHERE HAVE YOU LIVED THE LONGEST? In southern California, I grew up there and Mr BC and I lived there the better part of 30 years.

20. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON THAT SPENT $100 ON YOU? Mr BC.
 
21. WHAT'S THE LAST PIECE OF CLOTHING YOU BOUGHT? A couple of long sleeved shirts and a purse, last week at Ross.

22. WHAT WAS/IS YOUR FAVORITE JOB? When I did substitute teaching in elementary school about 48 years ago.
 

23. WHO MAKES YOU LAUGH THE MOST? Mr BC

24. WHAT ARE YOU CRAVING? Macaroni and Cheese.

25. WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND? My grandsons and DD1.  She is raising them right. Just got a picture of Лука 7 reading a book to Caшa 5, such a sweet scene!

1) 16 tons = 32,000 pounds, because there are 2,000 lbs. to a ton. Without looking it up, do you know how many ounces are in a pound?  16 oz to a pound. We have a scale that weighs Mr BC in kilograms, as that is how the kidney center wants his statistics....all metric.  One thing that is miraculous is that the kidney center has supplied most of the things we need for his dialysis.  I know that Medicare and his excellent insurance pays for it, but it is nice that we haven't had a lot of extra money going out because of his health issues.  That is why we have a scale that can weigh in kilograms.  That is 2.2 pounds to a kilogram. 

2) The singer describes himself as having "a mind that's weak and a back that's strong." Think about yourself. Which feels more powerful today, your body or your brain? Definitely, at my age...my mind is a tad  stronger than my body. Actually it is about equal.  I am not as strong at anything, important, now days. 

3) The poor chap in this song has money troubles. Are you good at sticking to your budget?  Better than most, not as good as some.  

4) Tennessee Ernie Ford snapped his fingers as he recorded this song. It's been said that while it's possible to snap your fingers of both hands, the noise is louder with your "dominant hand." (So if you're a rightie, the finger snap will be louder with your right hand.) Try it yourself. Did you find this to be true? It makes sense.....as I mentioned before not much of me is strong any more. Plus my arthritis....Strong it is! 

5) Mr. Ford appeared as "Cousin Ernie" in three episodes of I Love Lucy. What's your all-time favorite sitcom? Along the vein of Cousin Ernie, I will stop to watch the Andy Griffith Show any time I am switching channels.  When I was in Roanoke, a few years ago, traveling for the bank, one weekend, I visited Mt Airy, North Carolina, Andy's home town and the inspiration for Mayberry.  It was very nostalgic.  I remember watching the Tennessee Ernie Ford Show. as a family, every week when I was a kid.  He was very funny!

6) Tennessee Ernie took the money he made from his performing career and invested in a California cattle ranch. Think back to the last beef your ate. How was it prepared? I still have a real hamburger every once in a while. Sometime, if I am out for dinner I will have beef....since we eat only fish or chicken at home.

7) Mr. Ford passed away at age 72 in 1991. That year, Dr. Seuss also died. What's your favorite Dr. Seuss book? Oh, the Places You'll Go.  It is a favorite graduation gift....with a check tucked inside.

8) Gene Roddenberry also died that year. Mr. Roddenberry is best known as the creator of Star Trek. Who is your favorite Star Trek character? I am a bit of a Star Trek fan. If you search my labels, you will find a number of posts all about the shows.  We just watched a show on Roku, on PBS all about how prescient the creators of the show, were about the science fiction that is now or will be science fiction. Plus I loved the future of the 23rd Century. I liked Jean Luc Picard, he is my favorite character.

 9) Random question: We're having smoothies. What's your favorite? I got a single serve....it is actually about 2 servings....blender to make Mr BC smoothies. My favorite is Chocolate-peanut butter, made with PB2. When he didn't have much of an appetite, while he was so ill, I made him one protein smoothie-shake almost every day.  Other than having to do peritoneal dialysis every day, he is almost fit as a fiddle. We are hoping to go to CA in the RV this Spring.   

Wendell's Magic Wand Chat

1.  Do you ever watch old TV shows or movies from your childhood or youth? When we first got Netflix, I watched all of the Star Trek Franchise. It took almost 2 years.

2.  Have you ever adopted a rescued animal? Oh yes, most recently, we adopted Caspar a minature dashound, he is adorable and now we have 3 dogs, Totem is a rescue and Gwennie our corgi, is from a breeder. The are all between 6-7 years old.

3.  Are you good at keeping track of paperwork and records? Sort of, I have a file cabinet and a fire proof box.  It works well if I remember to file things back.

4.  What would you like the Magic Wendell Fairy to poof with his wand, and turn into a treat for you? Any snack or sweet you would like. It doesn't have tpo do with carrots, or HE'D eat it!  I have been looking all over for peach ice cream. Since there has been a recall on some peaches, I might not find it this year. i'll get him a carrot cake.

5.  Tell me something interesting-please.

I made a peach pie and I am eating with vanilla ice cream.  It will have to do if Wendell can't come through.
