Sheryl Crow is a breast cancer survivor and October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please spread the word about early detection.
1) What's something that always makes you happy?
Skyping with my Grandsons. They always make me smile all day.
2) In the lyrics, Sheryl refers to a poncho. How do you usually protect yourself from the rain? Poncho? Umbrella? Raincoat? Hat?
An Umbrella and a Raincoat.
3) Early in her career, Sheryl made ends meet by singing commercial jingles, including one for McDonald's. When was the last time you visited The Golden Arches?
Just last week to try the pumpkin spice latte. It was ok....the coffee seemed a little old.
4) Sheryl rode a horse into the ring of a Wyoming rodeo and then sang. Have you ever been to a rodeo?
Once when I was younger....before I was conscious that it was a type of animal abuse. I wouldn't go now.
5) Sheryl lives outside of Nashville, which is known as Music City. What type of music do you listen to most often?
I like all kinds of music...I listen to NPR on the radio in the car and switch to the golden oldies when I get tired of talk. I also like most country music. I loved the Dixie Chicks.
6) Crazy Sam is a massive Sheryl Crow fan, and is sure that the only reason why she and Sheryl aren't best friends is that they haven't met. What famous person do you think could be your BFF?
I would like to be Ellen's best friend.
7) Sheryl and cyclist Lance Armstrong were once engaged. Had they tied the knot, she would have become stepmother to his three children. Are you a step-parent, stepsibling or stepchild? NO.
8) Sheryl has performed carols at the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington DC. Have you ever visited our nation's capital?
We went in 1968 on our way back from Key West to CA when Mr BC was discharged from the Navy. The trip was our belated honeymoon. We took the girls in 1980.
9) Do you consider yourself easy going or do you have a fiery temperament.
I am rarely fiery...I am too easygoing.
9) Do you consider yourself easy going or do you have a fiery temperament.
I am rarely fiery...I am too easygoing.
Oh, it would be so fun to be Ellen's best friend!
ReplyDeleteI usual stop at Dunkin' Donuts for a large black coffee for the drive up to NH. Last week I stopped and instead of black they gave me pumpkin spice coffee... YUCK!
ReplyDeleteEllen--a great choice! She's so funny!
ReplyDeleteI only ever hear NPR when I'm in cabs and it's always so fascinating. I'm afraid if I listened to it on my shower radio, my morning ritual would take even longer and I'd stay in the tub until I was pruny.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is talking about those pumpkin spice lattes today.
ReplyDeleteIn the second photo the caption should read "Beam me up, Scotty."
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of the grandkids. They are getting so big!
ReplyDeleteI always read your responses and think, yep, me too. #9 is the first response where we differ so much...I'd say I'm the exact opposite of your response. :)
Key West to CA by way of DC? That's a long freakin' trip!
ReplyDeleteGlad you wouldn't go to a rodeo now. :)
Ellen! I shoulda thought of her, too. I love her.
Trying to work out.... who is Ellen? Love the photographs of your grandsons. They're really growing up now.
ReplyDeleteEllen DeGeneres, she has an afternoon show here.
