Well I arrived (finally) Saturday at about 3pm. Mr Bankerchick was glad to see me. My flight out of Roanoke was at 6:24 AM, and when I got to the airport, the flight was cancelled. After waiting my turn I was rescheduled for 10AM and got on a tiny little airplane to Chicago. I had to run (walk very fast) for my connection for LAX. I do not like to travel by air. It was a long day and I was tired. Totes and Gwinnie were glad to see me, all jazz hands and wiggling bunnie butt. I have worked for 2 days and now I have the rest of the week off. WooHoo!
Thursday we are going to pick up Лука, DD1 and SIL at LAX on their return from Serbia, and head up to spend a few days in SB. Hopefully, we can be of some help as they recover from jet lag. I will be glad to see my Darling Grandson. I am looking forward to big hugs and cuddles, once he is able to relax at home. That is a really long flight for a very little boy.
Welcome home and I can understand your excitement at seeing your grandson. x
ReplyDeleteWhew! It took me awhile but I finally got over here to say 'hello' and 'welcome back'!
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I blame you on not liking air travel when things like that happen. I flew down to Florida for my youngest's graduation in June and ended up spending three hours in Tampa that I wasn't supposed to while they tried to "fix" the plane we were supposed to fly out on. They finally gave up and put us on a totally different plane - which was okay by me as the amount of time it was taking to "fix" the other plane was a bit worrisome to say the least!
Fortunately the flights back to Connecticut were okay and my faith was restored in Southwest Airlines - which is pretty much the only airline I like traveling on these days!
I hope you've had a chance to rest up by now!
