Chatting About Interesting Things

http://www.everydayruralty.com/
1.  What is your favorite berry? Boysenberries are my all time favorites, especially in a pie.
2.  If you had the choice of a picnic or a sit down dinner, which would you choose? I prefer a sit down dinner to picnic on the ground or even at a picnic table in the park too rough and hot.  A sit outdoor BBQ in the evening, on the patio is ok.
3.  How is your handwriting? Fancy, plain, legible, doctor-like? I too, learned the traditional cursive handwriting.  It may be something that parents will have to teach, as schools are starting to dismiss it.  My own is still mostly legible.
4.  Do you prefer a desk top computer, laptop, or tablet?  I like the old fashion laptop.  I am not sure I could blog on a tablet.
5.  Tell me something interesting, please.

I didn't know peacocks could even fly, did you?

  1. Hi BC! Love the photos of the peacocks--their coloring is beautiful. To answer one question: I love to write in longhand, (cursive) and to see my writing. I have to write on yellow legal pads first, then I transfer to a computer. I wrote a post about losing cursive in schools. Did you know if one does not learn to write in cursive, one cannot read cursive? Hard to believe.

  2. Amazing pictures of the flying peacocks! I love how brilliant their colors are...such an interesting specie. It makes me sad that cursive writing is going out. :(

I enjoyed reading some of your writing. I don't know why I am just now noticing it at the top of your blog...but I especially enjoyed Charlotte's Story.

  3. Peacocks are so beautiful and such fun to walk around. I think I've seen them fly short distances at the bird park.

  4. I didn't know they could fly either! I love m tablet, but I still like blogging on the laptop. Typing anything long term isn't easy on the tablet...in my opinion.

  9. Love the peacock pics! We have feral peacocks in the neighborhood of the school where I work. They fly to the roofs of the garages and squawk at us from above.
