Vacation-Saturday 9

Vacation (1982)

Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here.

1) Do you know how to water ski? No and I don't want to learn.  Mr BC tried it many years ago before we met.  I am curious to see if anyone water skis any more.

2) Do you have 2014 vacation plans? Yes, we are taking a big tour of New England, in our RV, this fall.  I have started planning it already, since it is around the corner. We will make some mini trips this summer.  DD2 and I are planning two days off this Mon and Tue.  We are going to Kansas City for a girls night out.  I know we will have fun. We also plan to hit Trader Joe's as we get out of town,  I am going to use my new IPhone to take pictures.

3) Do you have a passport? Yes, but it is expired.  We need to renew so it will be ready if we want to go to Canada on the Fall trip or go abroad anytime in the next seven years. I have been to Turkey & Greece on a Med cruise, London, England, and Japan with this passport.

4) If you took a 7-night cruise, could you completely unplug -- no phone calls, no texts, no internet? Absolutely,  I love a cruise.

5) Do you own a travel alarm clock? Yes, an older model.  I use my phone as a clock and alarm nowadays.
This is our alarm clock, 6:00 am, every morning
6) Though the Go-Gos broke up in 1985, they frequently reunite for live performances. What's the last concert you attended? I have answered this question on a lot of memes and the answer is always the same.  I can't remember the last concert I went to!  We always say we'd "like to see this, that or them" etc. but never do get tickets.

7) Their first hit was "Our Lips Are Sealed."  Can you be trusted with a secret? Yes, except I usually tell Mr BC.  He can keep a secret too.

8) In 1982, when this song was popular, the comedy Tootsie was in theaters. What movie makes you laugh? Well, Tootsie certainly did.  I still laugh at Trains, Planes and Automobiles.  There are so many, I am certain I will agree with your choices....I love a funny movie.

9) Sam is chewing on a Tums as she composes these questions. What's the last over-the-counter medication that you took? I took some Advil and some Pepsid
yesterday.

  1. I had a hard time coming up with a comedy; Monty Python was all I could think of. I think an RV trip around New England sounds like a wonderful vacation.

  2. Now that I think about it, I don't really need an alarm clock either--I have two furry ones who never fail me!

  4. That's the cutest 6am alarm clock I've seen! lol.......Steve Martin was one of my father's favourites. The Man With Two Brains he laughed the hardest at. For me it was Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid.

  5. I'm with you on the water skiing thing. I'm pretty sure my husband hasn't skied before though.
