Sparkle Plenty-Mama Kat's

Sparkle, Shimmer, Glisten
Bright twinkle in his eyes, like diamonds,
Smiles come bursting forth
Giggles long suppressed, bubble up
He jumps up, arms wide open
Grandma’s here!

Sparkle, Shimmer, Glisten
Tears well in my eyes, like diamonds.
I fold him in my arms
Laughter fills the air
My heart is home.
Grandma’s here!

I used prompt #3 this week. Write a post, poem, or story that somehow incorporates the word: Sparkle. I am anticipating seeing my grandsons for the Holidays. It has been a while.

  1. Beautiful! I have a little sparkle in my eyes now, just picturing the scene...

  2. "I fold him in my arms" Love that. Nothing better than holding a little one that knows nothing but love.
