For Swearing Outloud-Sunday Stealing

21: Would you swear in front of your parents?
I often said dammit or hell if I were upset or angry, but nothing stronger.

22: Which continents have you been on?
North America, Europe, Asia.

23: Do you get motion sickness? Any horror stories?
I use to but not as an adult,,,no tales to tell.  I did get sea sick when I was a room mother and went with DD2 class on a field trip.  I was not very helpful,  kids could have fallen of the boat and I would never have noticed.  Good thing they were wearing life vests.

24. Why did you name your blog whatever you named your blog?
I was a banker and a chick.

25: Would you wear a rainbow jacket? No. A neon yellow sweater? No, I look like Big Bird in yellow. Checkered pants? Maybe if they were little checks sort of like tweed.

26: What was your favorite cartoon growing up? Post a picture if you can.
Betty Boop was sold to TV in the 50's and she could be found with Popeye and Felix the Cat in the afternoon after school.  I didn't get the sexy subtext to a lot of the cartoons, I just thought she was funny.

27: In a past life I must have been a pioneer.   At one point or another you traveled to the west in search of new opportunities and you made it. You had a log cabin, a large family, and plenty of land to work with. You, like your peers, learned to do everything yourself. You died protecting your children from a large grizzly bear. The bear died with you, and your children lived to carry out full and enriching livesQuiz here,

28: If you had to look at one city skyline for the rest of your life, which would it be?
London's, it has become more interesting with the ancient and modern architecture mixture

29: Longest plane ride you've ever been on?
It was either to Japan 5124 MI (8246 KM) or Istanbul 5026 miles (8089 km).  Gee, it's about the same.  We flew from Michigan to SFO and from LAX to JFK.  So I think Istanbul wins for overall mileage but Japan wins for single trip.  They were both great trips.

30: The longest you've ever slept?
Once when I was a young adult I slept for 17 hours, but it included medication.

31: Would you buy a sweater covered in kitten pictures? Would you wear it if someone gave it you for free?
No, not even Christmas kittens. I am a style maven.

32: Do you pluck your eyebrows?
No, but I do pluck the hair on my chinny chin chin.

33: Favorite kind of bean? Kidney? Black? Pinto?
Garbanzo Beans-Hummas

34: How far can you throw a baseball?
I can't really throw a baseball, at least not straight across the base.

35: If you had to move to another country, where would you move?
England, I would love to live there a year and travel around.  I am such a history buff and Anglophile.
I was envious of DD2 when she was able to spend a semester in London.

36: Have you ever eaten Ethiopian food? Ok, you eat with your hands Vietnamese? It was tasty,  Korean? BBQ is so good.Nepalese? How was it? I prefer Mexican.

37: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Our woodchuck(ground hog) Woodrow, lives under our storage shed. He would have seen his shadow on Feb 2 here in MO but he did not show up. He does not chuck wood, he digs holes and eats the peanuts we put out for him and the squirrels.  He and the squirrels did not have any black walnuts due to the drought last summer.  So he is not doing much chucking or maybe he is?

  1. Some good answers there, BC. Swearing wasn't even known about in my young days, and I wish it wasn't now. All the really bad words are commonplace now ... even everyday language for kids. I'm not a prude but I do think people let themselves down when they pack their sentences with swear words. Sorry, I needed to get that off my chest!

  2. I love your tales of Woodrow! And your answer to #25, as for dressier occasions I wear b/w, teeny-tiny hounds tooth check slacks.

  3. Oh, I like your skyline question, I didn't even think of that.

    Garbanzo beans--yum!

  4. I agree with London's skyline. Very pretty.
I am always amazed at the traveling people have to do when not in a major airport city. Michigan to LAX and then to JFK. Holy heck! I've always been in LA or New England as my starting point, so didn't have to make any of those extra trips. Thankfully, because traveling by air is already such a hassle.

  6. England will always be merry, won't it? I would love to spend a year or two just exploring England. Lots of curiosities to find there!

  7. I get the feeling I've entered your blog half way through something but I managed to pick it up as I went along! So you love England and history? Well. I live in Leicester and saw the archaeological dig before they announced that they'd found King Richard III's remains. This is an amazing place to be right now!
By the way, I wouldn't wear that sweater either!
