Friday Fragments and Funnies

The day before we left on vacation, my washer broke and I had to finish it at my daughter's, who happily lives on the next street over.  When we got back, I looked on the Whirlpool web site and called one of the local repair service.  He ended up coming 3 times over 2 weeks. to finally get it fixed. After the 2nd time I Googled the error codes, and found this was a problem that was able to be resolved, so I mentioned the source to him.  He was sure it was something else but when he got here the 3rd time......I turned out to be right.  He still charged me 45 more, dollars for labor.  I am not sure I will be calling them for anything else.

When we were driving back from California a few weeks, we had a close call with an eighteen wheeler.  In Arizona, Mr BC was getting back on I 40 after a rest stop and gas fill up.  He was accelerating back on to the highway, taking a look to see who might be coming up as he merged, when he looked back the rig in the right lane was barely moving and was quite disabled.  He had to slam on breaks and steer towards a guard rail.  We ultimately stopped with out wrecking, but it was close.  I was still shaking miles later.

My Grandsons enjoying their new bikes on Christmas day.  The weather was beautiful the whole time we were in CA.  See my beach pictures from last week.  It has been very cold here but no snow or ice and temps in the 50's this weekend.

Some funnies for your viewing pleasure, odds and ends I have been collecting.

Arkansas Ozarks Bound

Eureka Springs also known as Little Switzerland
www.arkansas.com
We have made some plans for traveling in Mlle Cozette, at the end of June.  We are going to venture further into the Ozarks by crossing the border into Arkansas and visiting Bentonville, the Pea Ridge National Military Park, and Eureka Springs.  We are going to leave on a Monday and be back the next Friday or Saturday.  Where we want to go is primarily dog friendly but I have located a couple of doggy day cares in Bentonville.
Bentonville is where Sam Walton of Walmart fame hailed from.  I want to soak up a little vintage retail therapy while we are there, but we are primarily going for the art museum Crystal Bridges, Museum of American Art.  We have wanted to see it ever since we saw it on Sunday Morning

Greased Lightening....Saturday 9

1) Greased Lightnin' was the name of a car. Have you ever given your car a name?
Yes, we currently drive Miss Tiffany and Rosie.  In the garage is Becca's Bee and the Duchess. We even named our RV, Cozette. I posted about it in 2007, here.

What's been going on, you ask?

We are looking for a Class C RV and Mr BC spends hours on end looking and dreaming .  Last night he found one that just got posted on Craigslist.  We answered with an e-mail and we are going to look at it today.  I am going to be the voice of reason if we like it, and not let him buy it right away, we are going to go home and think about it, if we like it.  If it is good as it looks it is going to be hard, because it is just what we are looking for at a good price.  We put a deposit down. It was perfect.
