Today I am celebrating National Procrastination Day, the fact that it is traditionally observed on March 26, should give you an idea about Bankerchick vs Procrastination. Everyone procrastinates sometimes, but 20 percent of people chronically avoid difficult tasks and deliberately look for distractions—which, unfortunately, are increasingly available. My Top Reason for procrastination is that, I perform better under pressure, maybe! No wait here are some better reasons.
#10 - It won't work - Really? This is all that you got? How do you know for sure that it won't if you haven't even tried? I know.......
#9 - I'll do that if some one else tries it first - Let's face it I am just a sissy, what the worst that could happen? I'll think of a reason.
#8 - I don't feel good - This winter this was a legitimate reason. The flu got to us, next year I need to get a flu shot!
#7 - I will wait until some one else is here to help - Yes, around here it's "when Mr BC wakes up from his nap."
#6 - I have something else to do - The baseboards need cleaning, Where is my swiffer?
#5 - If I do it I will just make more work to do - Yeah, I vacuum the floor and the windows look dirty.
#4 - It will just get dirty again - Just check out my sink and dog hair covered floor.
#3 - I forgot - This should be my number One. As I often forget what I was suppose to be doing. Time for you to get a pen and a note pad for your pocket there missy.
#2 - They might say no - Remember that those who do not learn from history are doomed to bla bla bla.
#1 - I'm hungry, a.k.a. Lunch Time! - My waist line proves that I shouldn't put off a snac for a while, to finish the task.

I need to print this out! And tomorrow I will!

ReplyDeleteI'm a terrible procrastinator and yet I feel like I'm always trying to juggle 10 things at once. But I do believe I work better under pressure, that is until I explode. (:
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a looming deadline to banish procrastination!
ReplyDeleteI try not to procrastinate, but I acknowledge that it's healthy to give yourself a break once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I hate procrastination and I don't procrastinate much, but when I do, I hate myself for it.
