1) Black is this week's signature color because Friday, November 29, was "Black Friday," when retailers cut their prices and consumers flock to the stores. Did you score any "Black Friday" bargains?
I don't do BLACK FRIDAY or Brown Thursday, can't stand that stores opened Thanksgiving day. Get your Store coupon! I have/will order on line again this year.

1) In this song, our hero orders espresso. What's your standard coffee order? During the holiday season I usually order Pumpkin Spice or something special for the holiday.  At home, where I usually drink my coffee, I will have regular coffee with International Delight Cinnabon Flavor.

1. What’s your favorite candle scent? 
I like the scents, that are like something baking. I don't bake as much and microwaves don't make the house smell as evocative as times past.
2. What female celebrity do you wish was your sister? 
I have no sisters, so....Melissa McCarthy seems very likable and real.  I have loved her since the Gilmore girls.

1. Would you rather sit in front of a fireplace with a roaring fire, soak in a lovely bath, or spend free time on your computer? I love a fire place but I don't have one here in Missouri.  I will choose a lovely bath in my clawfoot tub.

1 1/2 c. sugar

1 package yellow cake mix
1 c. margarine, melted

Chatting about Rescues

 

 

• Have you ever gotten a pet from a rescue? Yes our boy, Totem is a rescue, he was a casualty from the housing slump in CA.  His family could not keep him when they lost their house. I am getting ready to volunteer at the local Humane Society.  We have orientation on Thursday!

The reason we call him Totem that he sits like this....a Totem Pole!

I love to read.  The prompt today is to talk about a book I love.  I would find it hard to just give you one book that I love.  When I was a child, I loved Little Women, I was like Jo but I aspired to be as good as Beth.

This is the month that I am going to do something to help out the Joplin Humane Society Animal Adoption & Resource Center.  I am going to start by taking my recycled news papers over to them and signing up for their volunteer program.  Maybe even today.  I'll let you know when I have done it.
